We focus on project success, identifying areas of concern to anticipate risks, facilitating communication through our deliverables and towards project stakeholders.
You can rely on the experience of our offshore structures team, experienced in the design of offshore facilities and their installation, integrated load analysis for wind turbine foundations, and familiar with the industry codes and standards. We gather experience from Marine renewable energy projects, with benefits from the Oil&Gas industry. We have the capacity to undertake design from scratch and up to detailed engineering, encompassing the multi-disciplinary engineering management, and interface with project stakeholders (owner, certifying authority, installer, fabricator).
We develop solutions based on steel structures, or prestressed concrete materials. Our approach is based on a strong knowledge of materials resistance and beam theories to get straight to a design that is optimized and construction friendly.
Our design tools are diversified, to cover all the categories of structures. This includes Pythagore, setec in-house product, Sesam from the DNV, Ansys, SCIA from Allplan.
Drawings reflect the engineering work. They are used by the fabricator and remain the front reference documentation after the construction for operation and maintenance. This is why we are considering this part of our activity with the most attention to deliver documents that are readable, complete, and made up to communicate with all the stakeholders.
For structural drawings, we predominantly use Tekla with an organization that is driven by quality insurance and cost efficiency.
Our team of competences include the generation of turbine loads, with the tools developed for suitable performance and interface with the foundation design.
To boost up our offer, we have partnered with GreenWITS, combining our resources to provide smart holistic design solutions.
Setec Offshore Wind offer includes both topside and substructure for offshore substations. Our expertise is focusing on offshore structures, and we can mobilize the setec group competences to address all the challenges of offshore substation design: geotechnical, Health and Safety, Environmental studies, Electricity and Instrumentation, Mechanical systems, HVAC, firefighting, telecom, layout and general arrangement, fabrication and installation methods.
Transport and Installation engineering services of Setec Offshore Wind includes the design of sea-fastening and installation aids, the structural analyses for pre-service conditions (loadout, transportation, offshore lifting, floatation, upending, on-bottom, launch, etc.), and the definition of methods for these operations, relying on the expertise of Sealand Projects, a company of the setec group. Our offer covers barge ballast plan, and motions and stability analyses, float-over, and temporary mooring.
Setec Offshore Wind is accompanying the developers during tender and conceptual studies to address the floating wind solution selection. With our port infrastructures department, and along with setec group companies (setec Energy and Environment, Sealand Projects, Terrasol) our expertise covers the whole lifecycle of a floater, from fabrication to decommissioning and recycling solutions.
Our offer also includes the design of generic floaters, with a floater to project philosophy and patent-free solutions with an open-book design that facilitates project development and interfaces, particularly with the turbine supplier and the IAC engineers.
