Our vision
To contribute to France’s climate commitments, we know we must move away from fossil fuels on which our lifestyles depend. This will involve significant energy savings and the massive development of decarbonized energy, particularly renewables, among which offshore wind holds a special place.
France plans to install at least 45GW of offshore wind by 2050, and many countries are following this trend.
These volumes are far from insignificant in economic, industrial, port, territorial, etc. terms. To provide concrete solutions to these industrialization and deployment challenges of offshore wind farms, setec mobilizes the expertise of its engineers: environmental solutions, territorial and port strategies, industrial, structural, and material choices, transport and installation, project acceptability and management.

Our conviction is that engineering must assume its role as a solution provider
in an emerging, unrisked, and yet competitive ecosystem. By resorting to alternatives, such as floating storage solutions to unclog ports, we are convinced of having a positive impact on projects as a whole.
Independent and expert, we claim to be agnostic in terms of technology
Concretely, we do not have specific systems or technologies to promote, we have chosen not to embark on the design of a floater, for example, which would imply a form of limitation in the exercise of our activity. We wish to increase our technical and scientific capital by broadening our fields of intervention and multiplying projects to deliver the best expertise to our clients.
Our vision is thus nourished by our scientific and technical culture
our responsibility, as an actor in energy decarbonization, is to continue our investments in innovation and R&D, to maximize our ability to overcome existing constraints encountered by offshore wind.
